Made Index and American Woolen

American Woolen

A historic woolen textile mill modernized to make simple and well-designed blankets and throws from their Connecticut campus.

Founded in 1853 in Stafford Springs, Connecticut, the Warren Mills was America's most prominent manufacturer of fine camel hair and cashmere woolen fabrics in the middle of the 20th century. In 2014, the new American Woolen Company purchased the historic Warren Mills, the only remaining U.S. mill capable of producing the highest qualities of both worsted and woolen cloth.
